As the insert is installed the threaded section is completely swaged into the sleeve portion of the hole, permitting them to be used with grade 8 screws. The installation hole size is determined by the density of the parent material. Can be pressed or otherwise compressed manually with a hammer for quick installation jobs in sheet material.
