Made of hardened high speed steel.
Useful for turning and boring tools, constructing pins, hinge pins, arbors, pin gauges, dowels, preforating punchs. Can also be ground to make special cutting tools such as mills, spotfaces, angle or radii cutters, etc.

Air hardening molybdenum, chromium, shock resisting. High impact strength with moderate wear resistance. 95 percent machinability. Requires heat treating to harden. Small diameters may not be perfectly straight. Refer engineering guides online for S-7 hardening requirements.
Rod - Drill - Silversteel - W-1 Water Hardening
For punches dies and high strength machine parts. Unhardened - requires heat treatment.
High abrasion resistance and high toughness when hardened. 100 percent machinability. Requires heat treating to harden. Small diameters may not be perfectly straight. Refer engineering guides online for W-1 hardening requirements.

Specific Gravity 1.45 g/cm3. Operating Temp 220 C short term / 130 C long term. Tensile Strength at 20 oC 210 Mpa. Hardness 81 Shore D (DIN53505). Bushing bore tolerance is E10 after a H7 press fit. Tolerances listed in the tables are after assembly using H7 recommended fit.

DIN 3760 - General purpose grease and oil sealing. Note - metal cased and rubber cased seals may be interchanged at our discretion. If one or the other is specifically required please let us know when ordering.
Operating Temp. Range: -30oC to +90oC. The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore. Excellent resistance to mineral oil based fluids, hydrocarbon fuels, greases and water. Tool Steel - 496 Oil Hardening - Flat Stock
General purpose tool steel with good wear resistance, durability and machinability
Dimensionally stable chromium, tungsten and vanadium electric furnace toolsteel can be used for intricate work. Low 787 to 815 oC (1450-1500 F) hardening range makes it easy to harden. Fully spheroidised and annealed for uniform carbide size and easy machining. Each piece is individually wrapped and clearly marked with size, analysis and correct hardness and tempering information. Edge squareness 0.003 mm per mm. Finish is 0.0008mm (0.000032 inch).
Strip - Soft Metal Packs
For general hobby applications. This brass strip is annealed soft to make it easier to bend. Brass.
300mm lengths. Not recommended for heavy duty applications. For use with bearings we suggest you use items from the category - Shafting - Ground.
Shafting - Ground - Precision - Titanium - Ti-Gr2-TA1
CP2 Commercially Pure Titanium Grade 2. Tensile Strength 35.2 kgf/mm2. Yield Strength 28.2 kgf/mm2. Elongation 20 Percent.
Commercially pure for general industrial corrosion applications. UNS R50400. Widely used in power generation, chemical processing, aerospace and medical applications. Composition Percentage: Al 0, V 0, N 0.03, C 0.08, H 0.015, Fe 0.3, O 0.25, Ti Balance. Shaft with undersized tolerances is suitable for use with precision ground bearings. Shaft with oversized tolerances is suitable for pulleys or gears requiring interference fits, or for machining to your required tolerances.
