Acrylic also called Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) is a transparent thermoplastic often used as light weight or shatter-resistant alternatives to glass. Acrylic is an economical alternative to polycarbonate when extreme strength is not necessary. Additionally, doesn't contain potentially harmful bisphenol-A subunits. Often preferred because of moderate properties, easy handling and processing and low cost. Acrylic in sheet form affords shatter resistant panels for building windows, skylights, bulletproof security barriers, signs and displays and many other applications. In Robotics it is often laser cut into shapes off base boards or motor speed detecting code discs.

These bearings are designed so that when one ring turns, the other remains stationary. Some have a larger bore on one side allowing a shaft with no steps to pass through. Others have identical bores on each race, requiring a stepped shaft. Some have a reduced OD on one race allowing seating into an unstepped housing bore, whilst others will require a stepped housing to allow one ring to rotate. Please be sure to take note of the figures shown for ID and OD of both races to ensure you select the correct bearing. Applications include cryopumps, medical applications, semiconductors, turbine flow meters, food processing, robotics and optics.

Rollers - Urethane - Lengths
Low cost alternative for making your own wheels, castors, rollers, sheaves etc. Urethane rod with dual hardness. Harder inner sleeve with softer outside for use as a roller.
Blue outer tyre 90A Durometer bonded to a hard brown 75D Durometer inner sleeve. This results in a hard anti friction bearing surface inside with a soft tyre outside. The roller can be cut and machined to suit your purposes. Testing for your application is recommended.
