Pinion Wire Imperial
Brass and carbon steel.
Please note that very thin pinion wire may not be supplied perfectly straight. Pinion wire is meant to be cut into much smaller pieces to make pinion gears so the slight bends in the long length will have no effect on the intended use. Lengths longer than 1mtr can only be shipped internationally using Express not post. Please do not select post at checkout for long lengths. This category may be available in the new MBA online store at

Leadscrews
Trapezoidal thread design. Use with metric leadscrew thread listed in separate category.
Material: KSM = Carbon Manganese Steel S300 Pb (11 SMn Pb37) / LRM = Bronze CuSn8P. Carbon Manganese steel can be welded but difficulties may arise with bubbling due to sulphur content. KSM: Manual control control only - low rotational speeds only - for clamping or locking functions - for receiving dead weights. LRM: Manual or powered control - low and medium rotational speeds - for working under load. For power transmission and continuous use always use bronze nuts not steel.
