Material must be strong enough to withstand the expansion of the insert. The insertion of the screw locks the external knurls into the wall of the hole. Provides excellent thread durability but where maximum strength is required other inserts shown in this catalogue should be preferred.

Large volumes can be installed with hand installation tools (Sold Seperately). Hole sizes are reference only. Can variey on batchs. Optimum hole size is to be determinded through experimentation. A 60o countersink is required for flush mounting. Use with plastics, light metal alloys or hard wood. Standard made from 303 stainless steel. Quantity orders can also be supplied in Brass or 316 Stainless.

Keylocking inserts are used to repair threads by tapping the worn thread to a standard larger thread, twisting the insert into place and then driving in the keys to lock the insert. Also known as keenserts.
Each kit contains an installation tool and the quantity of inserts shown. One size per kit. Also known as keenserts, keylocking inserts are available in mild steel and stainless steel. Installation is by drilling out the old thread, countersinking, tapping new thread with a standard tap, screwing the insert until slightly below the surface, then tapping down the keys using the tool supplied and a hammer.
