These threaded inserts can be used in blind or through hole applications. Can be used in almost any material over 2.38mm thick. As the insert is installed the threaded section is completely swaged into the sleeve portion of the hole, permitting them to be used with grade 8 screws. The installation hole size is determined by the density of the parent material. Can be pressed or otherwise compressed manually with a hammer for quick installation jobs in sheet material.
