Individual Inserts for use with the Klik Thread Setter Tool

These threaded inserts can be used in blind or through hole applications. Can be used in almost any material over 2.38mm thick. As the insert is installed the threaded section is completely swaged into the sleeve portion of the hole, permitting them to be used with grade 8 screws. The installation hole size is determined by the density of the parent material. Can be pressed or otherwise compressed manually with a hammer for quick installation jobs in sheet material. Simplify the assembly and reduce costs involved in securing ball bearings. One piece item where the locking function is performed by a spring peened into the top of the nut.

Nut Body: Low Carbon Steel. Locking Insert: Stainless Steel Hardness HB 201-269. The spring bears on the flank of the shaft thread with force (P) generating reaction force (Pí) in the screw threads with a resulting high friction torque (prevailing torque). Unique slim body design. Secure locking without keyway and tab washer. One piece construction reduces stock and allows simpler, quicker assembly. Simple infinite adjustment. Re-usable up to 100 times. Resists vibration and shock. Equally effective for rotation in either direction even with rapid reversals.

Each kit contains an installation tool and the quantity of inserts shown. One size per kit. Also known as keenserts, keylocking inserts are available in mild steel and stainless steel. Installation is by drilling out the old thread, countersinking, tapping new thread with a standard tap, screwing the insert until slightly below the surface, then tapping down the keys using the tool supplied and a hammer.
