1.7 and 2.5mm cable diameters can be operated manually at 62mm bend radius with torsional break strength of 0.62 N.m. 3.3F shaft has a greater degree of flexibility than standard 3.3mm. 3.3F shaft can be used in dynamic mode if shaft isshortened to approximately 50mm.

Couplings - Spider Type C - Complete
Miniature aluminium curved jaw flexible couplings. 2 to 160 Nm. Match only hubs and spiders from listings SPIDER TYPE C. Inserts are held between the jaws of two hubs.
Discs (either red as standard with blue or white optional) are available to purchase separately. Flexible couplings transmit torque and rotational angle while absorbing misalignment. When the misalignment exceeds allowable values, vibration may result or the life of the coupling may become shortened. Zero backlash in low torque application, made capable by having the hubs pressed in a spacer. Can be used as a flexible coupling in a high torque application. Polyurethane spider.

A high performance thermoplastic created by cross linking EPDM rubber with Polypropylene. As an elastomer plastic it is flexible, light weight, and has very good abrasion resistance. It also has good resistance to many acids, bases and aqueous solutions.
It holds up well in both extreme hot and cold environments which can make it preferred over rubber. Common uses include; grips, knobs, handles, gaskets, and ball check valves. Specific Gravity .95 g/cc. Hardness, Shore 40D. Tensile Strength 3000 psi. Melting Point 410 F. Rohs Compliant. Not FDA compliant. This grade is slightly harder than the 87A grade. Colour usually red but some sizes are beige.

Some sizes have special features such as serrations or small barbs (noted in description). Unground ends. Ideal for axles in robotic applications and educational projects.

Recommended for use with Frelon Gold linear bearings. Aluminium 6061-T6 with ceramic coated finish. Ceramic coat has rockwell hardness of 70C. No magnetic and vibration reseistant.
Weld spatter, contaminants and paints will not stick. Do not use with ball bearings. Use with Frelon lined or similar plain bearings only. Shaft ends are not coated.
