The torsion spring is placed into c-bore of one of the Mini-lash Gears, and each of its tangs placed into appropriate drill of each of Mini-lash Gears. Then by turning one of them called Free Gear, we load torsion spring creating anti-backlash torque. Then when teeth on both gears are aligned we mate it with the opposing gear. In such a way there is no clearance in the gear mesh, and reversing direction of rotation doesn’t bring lost motion in the gear train. Transmitted torque shouldn’t exceed torsion spring preset torque.

Free ID may vary to meet load specification. Load capacity can be increased by using multiple strips in tandem, back to back or laminated. Be sure to leave at least 40mm coiled on the drum at full extension. The spring ID will wrap tightly on the drum so that most applications require no fastening to the drum.
