Used for attaching subplates and assemblies. The sliding bar is attached to the removable panel and the post is mounted to the stationary support.

In the closed position the spring action of the bar resists opening under vibration and shock load. The removable panel thickness must be between 1.2 and 4.0mm. Spacers may be needed and are included with each latch. The post can be attached with rivets, screw and nut or wood screw. Each comes with post and bar assembly. Made from zinc plated steel with chromate finish.

The torsion spring is placed into c-bore of one of the Mini-lash Gears, and each of its tangs placed into appropriate drill of each of Mini-lash Gears. Then by turning one of them called Free Gear, we load torsion spring creating anti-backlash torque. Then when teeth on both gears are aligned we mate it with the opposing gear. In such a way there is no clearance in the gear mesh, and reversing direction of rotation doesn’t bring lost motion in the gear train. Transmitted torque shouldn’t exceed torsion spring preset torque.
